Just a few train stops from the Loop, the West Loop neighborhood used to consist of mostly warehouses, hence, the name 'warehouse district'. However, it's what the warehouses have been transformed into that matters now. And that's how Mars Gallery came about.
Mars operates mainly as a gallery with a very unique selection featuring Chicago's top artists. The various styles include contemporary, modern pop art, abstract, figurative, and more. The gallery is also well recognized as an unconventional venue space. In fact, it was named "Most Unique Event Venue" by Illinois Meeting Magazine. Mars Gallery provides an exclusive two-story facility of 3000 square-feet that that can accommodate 150 guests cocktail style on both floors, and as many as 70 seated on the 2nd floor. The two floors are connected by stairs and by an elevator, but not JUST any elevator, it's an elevator bar. The elevator bar at Mars Gallery was in fact named one of the West Side's coolest place to grab a drink.
